All I'm missing in that game is the Ultimate Blade medal, Bullet Hell medal, and the Max Power medal.
Got an S rank in every stage. The only ones that were getting annoying were the last boss and the bonus last boss.
Anyway, if you're using Lance, enable the auto-fire. Or if you're using the mouse at all, you might as well enable it anyway.
Protip: You should wait during protips to recharge your sub fire. However, protips disappear after you beat the stage.
Natalie is the main reason it was very easy for me. Well, that and the fact the game ran at 16-20 fps with all extra graphics off on my crappy computer. Still, Natalie is awesome because her main fire charges up really fast. In the last bar, she shoots out a spread like any other character. Her sub fire doesn't spread as well, but it's nice for getting enemies close to her. Very recommendable for bosses.
Actually, I recommend using the keyboard setting and enabling Auto-Focus. Auto-Focus makes you move slower unless you hold shift. I think it gives a more precise control than the mouse. The best thing about Auto-Focus is allowing you to see your hit box.
